Об альбоме (сборнике)
I'm blown away. I have been a jazz pianist for 30 years. Just discovered this album, and I am blown away. Yes, it sounds like Joe Pesci, but it didn't take me long to get past that. Listen to his take on "Fool On The Hill." Joe's voice in endearing and honest. His phrasing is relaxed, tastfull and swinging, and the band is swinging hard along with him. The horn arrangements are beautiful as is the whole arrangement in general. Lots of space, and it builds nicely. Love this recording, and I have gained a whole new respect for Joe Pesci. I can't believe nobody ever brought this to my attention. Discovered it by accident, and I'm now sharing it with all my jazz musician friends. Really nice stuff. Would love to make an album with Joe on day.
