Women are in the foreground. Women of love. Women who do not expect anything and therefore women who can be trusted. Women who know how to love and to hate but certainly women who dare to take responsibility of their lives. Women were written in response to a voice, Fotini’s voice, and a verse, the red patent leather shoes. The patent leather shoes set up the scene (the backdrop): Night, sex, women … And when they were written the 'Women' and 'Apology' demanded a voice, only one voice, that of Sotiria Leonardou. Thus a cycle of folk songs was composed. Zeibekika, chasapika, ballads and all this tied up with orchestral pieces that just do not work only as bridges between songs but also refer to the already known musical style of Nikoloudis. The orchestration is simple and lets the voices to speak, to lead.
