Об исполнителе (группе)
Bobby Mack is another one of those blues guitar greats who has received no attention over in the United States. I first came across him on a "Where Blues Meets Rock" collaboration (He has subsequently appeared on 4 different volumes of "Where Blues Meets Rock"). One listen to the song "Pourin' Rain," and I was instantly hooked. After hearing the energy and pure emotion on that track, I bought "Highway Man," Mack's debut album, and I have not been disappointed. Not only is his guitar playing emotive and rockin', but there is also some hot organ on the album as well. "Highway Man" was produced by Jim Gaines, a man who produced Stevie Ray Vaughan's "In Step" album, as well as several Santana and Steve Miller releases. Bobby Mack's guitar style is very similiar to that of fellow Texan Stevie Ray Vaughan's; hot, tasteful, and emotional. If you are lookin' for one of those forgotten bluesmen, look no further. Bobby Mack is up there with the rest of the greats, it's no wonder he was named Texas Music Ambassador to the World. ~PJ
