The music is and has ever been, for me, more than an art type. It represents a vital need. Since I started my studies at the conservatory, until today, this passion for composition has never left me, pushing me to constantly explore new ideas, and also allowing me to develop my own musical thought.
I have this feeling that music gives access to a "polished dimension", where the sound comes to life and offers to the listener another unique world. A single piano note, according to me, is an infinity of colors, interpretations and evocations! Sometimes it helps to understand our world, and sometimes it exceeds the reality, to allow us to rush into impossible landscapes... This vision of music has often led me to depart from the clean and right way.
I consider the composition as a huge area of freedom, a wheat field I could burn or turn into a garden. The rules and conventions of the harmonic & contrapunctal sciences, as well as structural rules, have never been masters into my sanctuary. Only the expression and the emotion are predominents, in a constant search for this novelty which gives sense.
In fact, the mysterious power that exert the music on our vision of things fascinates me strangely. I try to ensure that for each title, the listener is taken aback by my approach: "But why?" "What's the purpose?". Introducing this special atmosphere in my compositions, without ever revealing its exact nature is one of the reasons I spend so much time for one personnal piece.
Finally, I dare to hope that the creation will stay a mystical task for me. What I don't "understand" helps me to go ahead. And, to say all, I like to travel between my works using the "dark way": something that nobody would have known before, and which will give to the piece all its interest
