Best player in the world, hands down. The scary thing is, the team doctors say Geno still isn't 100%...just don't tell him that. For a guy to tear his ACL and MCL, an injury that has ended careers before in various majour sports, not even a year ago and to be leading the league in points and playing like this is mind boggling. Big difference from last season, the Pen's didn't have Crosby,Malkin and Cooke in the play-offs, see how easy it was for them to annihilate Tampa. The Pen's have Malkin and Staal to bring Tampa back to reality and showed them what they would've faced in last seasons play-offs. Fleury definitely kept them in the game early on, til the Pen's woke up. Keep Malkin's line together when Crosby returns, i still think Tangradi and Dupuis could make a mirrored image of the Malkin line. Malkin, Crosby and Staal will be a force to wreakin' with and we can't forget Letange and Fleury to bring back that glory! MapleBud72

Stamkos can score..but he's not the play maker Malkin is...Malkin is a huge presence on the ice...Stamkos kind of reminds me of Ovechkin..a big goal scorer...but can't set up plays or make the players around him better...he's a goal scorer but that's where the skill stops. Too Clutch

Malkin is in beast mode. This guy is scoring highlight real goals every night and hey the last time he was healthy, all he did was lead both the regular season and the playoffs in points. Think about this, Malkin could be looking for his 3rd Hart nomination is his 6 years in the NHL. The other 3 years include two injury plagued seasons and a Calder Trophy. Комментаторы сразу вспомнили что они видели нечто подобное во времена первого похода Питсбурга за Кубком Стэнли (в 1991?), когда Марио Лемье забил в ворота Миннесоты Норд Старс похожий гол (а тот гол считается одним из лучших в истории, если не лучшим). Отличием было то что в воротах находился Дуэйн Ролосон, а не Джон Кейси. (lol)
Интересно как защитники себя чувствуют после таких голов. Кстати, на официальном сайте НХЛ nhl.com идет голосование чей гол лучше: Марио Лемье или Малкина. Там практически поровну голосов, с небольшим преимуществом Малкина. Поддержите земляка нашего!!!

Вряд ли, за 20 лет только 2 вратаря удостоились сей премии - 2002(Жозе Теодор) и 1997\8(Доминик Гашек).... А все остальные обладатели полевые игроки.... думаю Женя достоин премии... Но ещё 20 матчей играть, и кто знает как оно будет...
