Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is the eighth studio album by the English rock group The Beatles, released in June 1967. Recorded over a 129-day period beginning in December 1966, Sgt. Pepper sees the band exploring further the experimentation of their previous album, Revolver. Making use of orchestras, hired musicians and innovative production techniques, the album incorporates elements of genres such as music hall, jazz, rock and roll, western classical and traditional Indian music; its lyrics deal particularly with themes of childhood and everyday life. Sgt. Pepper is a loose concept album that sees The Beatles performing as the fictitious band of the album's title.
In addition to the regular-weight LP releases and box sets, MFSL also released eight UHQR (Ultra High Quality Release) titles on LP. Each was a single-record box set limited to 5000 copies and individually numbered. UHQRs were pressed on heavy-weight (200 gram) "virgin" vinyl and pressed on the master stamper at the JVC company in Japan.
Спасибо, переслушал все что выкладывали и оставляю только этот, на варианте от Dr. Robert много сибилянтов и невыносимое жужжаниепо верхам в левом канале начиная с последних двух трэков на каждой стороне, что неприятно слушать, при том, что низкие частоты очень выкусные. Но этим грешат его много рипов. Это подпортило и его Pink Floyd 75 Wish You Were Here. Специально для тех, кто хочет в этом убедиться нарезал сравнение

Thank you! Определенно лучший рип album no 1 , здесь все на месте, звучит очень близко к звуку 60х. Жаль концовки нет, может кто выложит издание самого Wally Traugott, у которого потрясающе теплый звук. Please!

В американской версии не было этого звука, скорее всего он появился вовсе не с ленты, а уже при mastering cut. Pepper Inner Groove". However, it is only featured asa 2-second fragment at the end of side 2 rather than an actual loop in the runout groove. The CD version of Sgt. Pepper's Inner Groove is actually a bitshorter than that one found on the original UK vinyl pressing.The sound in the loop is also the subject of much controversy, being widelyinterpreted as some kind of secret message. McCartney later told his biographer Barry Miles that in the summer of 1967 a group of kids came up to himcomplaining about a lewd message hidden in it when played backwards. То есть там была кольцевая дорожка не простая а как бы двойная - специально с этой целью? Хотелось бы найти старый экземпляр первопресса и самому поглядеть... UPD
Хмммм... если предположить, что там не одна а две плотно нарезанных дорожки и игла описывает 2 полных круга (1 оборот - 2 секунды), то между повторами фрагмента в 3 секунды будет 1 сек. пробел. Непрерывный повтор в 3 секунды просто физически невозможен.
Лучший Сержант, которого слышал. Наверное версий из пятидесяти, всевозможных форматов и носителей.
Ни тебе сибилянтов, ни узкой панорамы, ни слабого баса, ни его перегруза,ни картонных барабанов, ни прочих гадостей.
Именно - небесный звук.
