One of the most distinctive and fondly remembered vocal groups of the early 1960s was a quartet of Philadelphians who called themselves the Orlons. Comprised of three young ladies - Shirley Brickley, Marlena Davis and Rosetta Hightower- and one lucky guy, Steve Caldwell, the Orlons permeated the AM airwaves with their dynamic, uptempo, thoroughly buoyant hits such as "South Street," "Don't Hang Up" and "The Wah Watusi."
