Artist Info: James Kei was born in Saudi Arabia, raised in Japan, and educated in Russia. His work has a strong traditional figurative background. He works at Massive Black as a Concept artist, where he sits in a corner and laughs at everyone from behind his wacom tablet. James has contributed art and vision to almost 30 next-generation video game titles during his professional career. His Fine Art is currently showing at the Shooting Gallery in San Francisco.
Описание: The entertainment industry has been walking away from traditional materials for a decade now, but it’s still not a common thing to see someone do life painting from an actual model. That is, of course, unless you’re in Kei’s class. And now you can be!
In this demonstration, recorded from a one and a half hour life painting session, Kei covers all the basics to his approach. If you want to get started with digital life painting, there is no better place to start. (And that’s not just marketing talk… I looked around.)

От себя отмечу, что манера работы у этого инструктора довольно академичная - уж больно сильно она мне что-то напоминала. И только прочитав о том, где он учился, стало понятно почему
