Hello! Do you have the a similar set of audiobooks + texts for Russian books? I want to be able to read some good Russian books while listening to their recorded audio, so that I can learn Russian? I am at a very early beginner stage, and this would be invaluable to me! A lot of searched on rutracker did not yield anything concrete. Regards, z0ltanz0ltan

Hi,
I really doubt it. Unfortunately.
So, you could start with some decent russian animated movies for kids (there were lot of really good films created in soviet times) with subtitles.
Smth like that: https://rutr.life/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1298402 (not the best example, but I'm not an expert. I hope, other people will give you more appropriate links). Mb you'll find such kind of stuff in youtube. Or just use google search for "советские мультфильмы с русскими субтитрами". There are thousands on ivi (dot) ru, but with no subtitles.
The same for movies and filmed fairytales (made before 1990s) for youngsters. Talking about reading and listening, hmmm... You could try to start from some short texts of the most famous russian writers (Пушкин, Чехов, so on) of 19th century or small novels for children (+1st half of XX centuty, too) (Толстой, Зощенко (some for kids); such books as "Денискины рассказы", "Незнайка на Луне"). Pleasure of reading and easy to find audio version. UPD: These are main places for finding audiobooks (sorry, no texts - you have to find it separately) on rutracker: here is kid's literature (russian, european - in russian)

Hmm... that's what I feared! Still, those are some excellent links that you've posted there - thanks! They should come in very handy when I get up some some decent level in Russian. I'm still at a beginner's level right now, but I'm slowly working my way up. And I agree with the suggestion to watch some children's cartoons - in fact, I did manage to dig out a modest number of subtitled cartoons on YouTube, and they were rather helpful in improving my ear for Russian! I've bookmarked the rutracker links that you've posted, and I will check them out soon. Thanks again for the links, and for your gracious offer for help! ... I appreciate it a lot! Cheers!

And wow, the children's audio books are a veritable goldmine! Thanks for pointing that out for me. I've listened to a few samples, and they seem to be exactly what I need at this stage. I'm downloading a bunch of them right now!
