Native Instruments has released Thrill, a new instrument that enables the introduction of terrifying live scores to movies, games, sound installations, or theater productions. Thrill combines the epic power of an orchestra with the chilling depth of expert sound design, houses them within a simple performance-driven interface, and places them into the hands of a single player. NI say that using Thrill, a single person could perform the terrifying string tone clusters from The Shining, as Jack Torrance rampages around Overlook Hotel. An aspiring young filmmaker could single-handedly play all of Arrival's stomach-churning bass drones in just one take. The all-original 30 GB sound library is taken from 963 source sounds, including orchestral recordings and hybrid sound-design based on ambiences, custom-built instruments, voices, pitched metal, synthesized drones, and more. Central to Thrill is an X-Y control for modulating effects and morphing between sounds. This control offers composers and sound designers something new – the ability to design and play complex cinematic textures and builds in real time. Simple and intuitive to use, the control blends between sound sources, effects, the number of sonic layers, general intensity, and more, depending on the preset being used. This X-Y modulator lends itself to trackpad, tablet, or even smartphone control (via TouchOSC), allowing sound-to-action interaction. Thrill also comes with a powerful tone cluster designer. Tone clusters are a special kind of chord, containing at least three adjacent notes, and are one of the staple tools for generating fear and tension in any audience. Thrill offers 250+ diverse and editable cluster sound and voicing presets, using the many types of pitched sounds in the Thrill library, such as strings and horns. Tone clusters can also be built from scratch, with up to eight independently editable and modulatable voices.
А файла *.touchosc разве не должно быть в раздаче? Ведь в обзоре инструмент управляется с помощью touchosc из планшета, что также написано у вас в "Дополнительной информации".

Они вроде управляли стандартным XY из touchosc на весь экран. Я же не могу решить, стоит ли держать для этой библиотеки 30гб или это излишки.

Библиотека специфическая и в первую очередь подойдет для написания саундтреков к фильмам ужасов и хорор игр. Большинство ее однозначно не будут использовать, так как вряд ли найдут ей применение. Имеет 3 позиции микрофона, 2 из которых можно удалить особо ни чем не жертвуя при этом, эффект "волосы дыбом" не пропадет при этом.

Думаю, может Метрополис наипнуть. Ни разу еще не пользовался и вряд ли воспользуюсь, а места он уж точно занимает неоправданно много.

Несложно, но - трудоемко.
Например, используя TotalCmd, с установленным плагином InNkx.
Для этого в папке Samples:
1) удалить все файлы .nkc,
2) выбирая по очереди каждый файл-контейнер .nkx, открывать его и распаковать его содержимое (файлы .ncw) в заранее созданную временную папку на второй панели TotalCmd.
3) после распаковки содержимого всех .nkx в эту временную папку - нужно выделить в этой временной папке все файлы, содержащие в имени "CLO", нажав большую клавишу "+" (справа), и, вписав в бокс в качестве маски: "*CLO*.*" (без кавычек), нажать Enter. Затем, нажав клавишу "*" (звездочка) инвертировать выделение, после чего окажутся выделенными все файлы, не содержащие в имени "CLO". Теперь их можно удалить. Оставив только файлы, содержащие в имени "CLO".
4) далее следует с помощью InNkx из всех оставшихся файлов .ncw - следует создать новые файлы-контейнеры .nkx (хотя всё может работать и без создания nkx, они нужны только для уменьшения количества файлов).
5) сделать batch re-save библиотеки, указав в качестве цели для поиска файлов папку библиотеки.

У меня Контакт 7.0 и с ним уже Native Access... Это приложение вместо сервис-центра. В окошке Контакта нет больше кнопки Add Libraries. Теперь Manage Libraries... Как с этим быть? Заранее благодарю за ответ!
с помощью Native Access библу можно обновить до версии 1.1.0

All modulation controls are now bi polar, making it possible to modulate in both parameter directions. You can now reverse a low pass filter, modulate from a mutated sound into the original one or from a distorted Thrill into its clean state.
