To crack ArcGIS 10.1 follow these steps carefully:
1) Uninstall all previous versions of ArcGIS. Delete ESRI/ArcGIS folders in Program Files, Appdata, ProgramData, etc. Use “Wintools” or “CCleaner” to clean the registry.
2) Mount the downloaded ArcGIS_Desktop_10.1.iso file using “UltraISO” or “Daemon Tools Lite”, then click “Autoplay” or double-click on it to Run ESRI.exe. You will get the ArcGIS for Desktop installation splash screen with a number of setup options.
3) Install only the ArcGIS 10.1 for Desktop setup from the iso. Do not install the ArcGIS License Manager from the iso.
4) When installation is complete (seems to take quite some time), a popup will notify that "ArcGIS 10.1 for Desktop has been successfully installed". Click the Finish button to exit. This will open the ArcGIS Administrator Wizard. Here, under "Select a product", choose "Advanced (ArcInfo) Concurrent Use", then under "Define a License Manager for Concurrent Use products", choose "Define a License Manager later from the ArcGIS Administrator", hit OK. The ArcGIS Administrator window will open. Just OK it, and all ArcGIS windows will close. We're done with ArcGIS, no need to reinstall it ever again, even if you fail to crack it.
5) Unzip the two zip files that come with the crack. You will find you have a folder called AG_KG containing the Keygen.exe file, and a folder called License Manager (pre-release version) containing Setup.exe file and associated files.
6) Go to License Manager (PreRelease Version) and run Setup.exe (the 2.666KB one, the other one is ok too if you clicked it)
7) The License Manager Server setup starts, press next... until you get to the final screen. DO NOT PRESS FINISH.
N.B. If you pressed Finish, uninstall it and reinstall it again, without pressing finish.
8) With the final screen of the installation running, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\License10.1\bin\
There you will find a file called "service.txt". Copy it to your desktop.
9) Run the KeyGen program.
10) There change the version to 10.1 (just type over 9.0, it's not on the drop down list, but it's ok)
11) In the "Feature" drop down list, select ArcInfo (!!!not ARC/INFO)
12) Press the "All" Button on the bottom right.
13) Some text will be generated. You must manually copy everything BETWEEN the ------ (not including the ----) and then paste it, on the service.txt on your desktop.
14) Your service.txt must now start with "START_LICENSE <NEW LINE> SERVER this_host ANY 27000" and end with "END_LICENSE <NEW LINE>" (there will be no new line there, press enter at the end) (where new line is what you get when you press enter)
15) If the first line is ------ then START_LICENSE, you must delete the ----... and make sure the first line has START_LICENSE on it.
16) Now, you must change the "this_host" field with the name of your computer. To find your computer's name, right click "My Computer" and click "Properties". There will be somewhere saying "computer name:", copy it verbatim. Usually it's <your username>-PC. You could also try writing "localhost" instead of your computer's name, but I'm not sure if it will work.
17) Now the service.txt must look like "START_LICENSE <NEW LINE> SERVER MYUSERNAME-PC ANY 27000" Where MYUSERNAME-PC is your computer's name.
18) Save it.
19) Copy the service.txt you edited on your desktop, and paste it at C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\License10.1\bin\ , replace the old one.
20) Now you can press finish in the License Manager PreRelease installation.
21) The License Manager Administrator window will open. If you edited the service.txt file correctly, on the bottom left, it will say "License Server Status: RUNNING".
22) Close this window. Go to All Programs, ArcGIS, and run ArcGIS Administrator.
23) There, click on Desktop, and make sure Advanced(ArcInfo) Concurrent Use is selected. If you didn't do step 4, it's ok, select it now if it's not selected.
24) You will see a "Change" button. Press it.
25) Press "Browse" and select your computer from the network list.
26) OK to everything and you're done.
